On April 28th it was TUMPEK LANDEP, the Balinese holiday for sharpness and creativity. It comes every seven months (once every Balinese Year) We put offerings on all metal things, tools & machinery, created by human ingenuity, to give thanks for our sharpness of mind that allowed us to create them & use them for good purposes. At our workshop this is the most important holiday of all. We always make a big celebration and ask the priest to come to perform many sacred mantras and bless us and our tools. A traditional feast of Babi Guling for our staff and their families follows. |
